What is Early Intensive Behavioral Intervention (EIBI)

A EIBI program provides treatment for young children with autistic spectrum disorder.The EIBI program will help these children develop communication, play and other functional skills. EIBI programs may be provided in a variety of settings, including in the home, at day care centers and preschools.

Research suggest that the earlier children with Autistic Spectrum Disorders receive EIBI, the more promising the outcomes. The EIBI team may include an psychologist, speech/language pathologist, occupational therapist and social workers.
